◆ドラマみどころ◆

このドラマの原作の『吉原裏同心・流離』は、十一年前の２００３年春に出版された。当初、短編の構想で、神守幹次郎が人妻の汀女を連れて豊後岡藩城下を逃げるくだりと、妻( め) 仇討( がたきうち) を許された亭主と一統に追捕される逃避行の描写で成り立っていた。ただ今ではシリーズとして『髪結』が二十巻、そして六月には最新作『遺文』が出るまでに成長した。

この長い物語がNHK 木曜時代劇として放映される。未だ原作者は試写を見ていないが、冒頭は、幹次郎が年上の幼馴染の汀女の手を引いて雪原を逃げる場景から始まるという。

スタッフは時代劇に熟知した面々、安心している。また出演者は、神守幹次郎が小出恵介、汀女役が浅草っ子の貫地谷しほり、薄墨大夫が宝塚出身の野々すみ花さんと新鮮な組み合わせと聞く。

幕府公認の吉原はただの男女の出会いの場所というだけではない。江戸時代のファッション、化粧、音楽と流行の発信基地の役割を持っていた。閉鎖された吉原ながら世間への多岐にわたる影響力は大きかったのだ。そんな「吉原」をただ今の若い俳優陣がどのように解釈して演じてくれるか、大いに楽しみにしている。
